Building India's Next Generation
SB Core Energy is developing an India-focused strategy for advanced micro-nuclear energy, with an initial focus on industrial facilities and data centres. Our approach centres on technology assessment, strategic partnerships, regulatory feasibility and long-term commercial deployment.
All proposed technology deployments, partnerships and commercial timelines are subject to feasibility assessments, definitive agreements and applicable regulatory approvals.
Four Pillars of Our Approach
Our ambition is to help enable reliable, low-carbon power for India's growing industrial and digital economy.
Advanced Micro-Nuclear Technology Assessment
We are evaluating advanced micro-nuclear reactor technologies for their suitability in the Indian context — assessing technical performance, safety frameworks, supply chain requirements, and long-term operational viability.
Industrial and Data-Centre Energy Solutions
India's industrial sector and rapidly expanding data-centre market require reliable, dispatchable, low-carbon power. We are assessing how micro-nuclear technology could address this structural energy challenge.
Strategic Technology Partnerships
We are in the process of evaluating potential technology partnerships with established nuclear technology developers. Any proposed collaboration remains subject to discussions, definitive agreements, and applicable regulatory approvals.
Regulatory and Commercial Feasibility
Deploying advanced nuclear technology in India requires engagement with the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), the Department of Atomic Energy, and other relevant authorities. We are assessing the regulatory pathway and commercial feasibility of such deployment.
Why Advanced Nuclear. Why India. Why Now.
India's industrial and digital economy is growing rapidly — and so is its demand for reliable, clean energy. Renewable sources such as solar and wind, while important, are intermittent and cannot alone meet the baseload power requirements of heavy industry and data centres. Advanced micro-nuclear technology offers the potential for compact, dispatchable, low-carbon power generation — without the grid-scale infrastructure requirements of conventional nuclear plants. SB Core Energy is at an early stage of assessing whether this technology can be viably deployed in India, and under what conditions.
This assessment is ongoing. No technology deployment, partnership or regulatory approval has been confirmed.
